INTRA MUROS ISTANBUL

His first album, Intra Muros Istanbul, released in the fall of 2024, presents eight pieces of music from intra-muros Istanbul—within the city walls defined during the reign of the Eastern Roman Emperor Theodosius II—focusing on the Ottoman period. Each piece on the album refers to certain figures and places from the Ottoman period. The final track is the artist’s own composition and draws on the book The Age of Beloveds, written by Walter Andrews and Mehmet Kalpaklı. The artist was joined on the album by: Nikos Papageorgiou (lavta), Erhan Bayram (Istanbul kemence), Asineth Fotini Kokkala (qanun), Muaz Ceyhan (bowed tanbur).

INTRA MUROS ISTANBUL

2024 sonbaharında yayımlanan ilk albümü Intra Muros Istanbul, Doğu Roma İmparatoru II. Theodosius döneminde çizilen surlarla tanımlanan suriçi İstanbul’dan, Osmanlı dönemine odaklanan sekiz müzik sunuyor. Albümde yer alan her parça, Osmanlı dönemine ait bazı tarihî kişiler ve mekânlara referansta bulunuyor. Albümün son parçası sanatçıya ait bir beste ve Walter Andrews ile Mehmet Kalpaklı tarafından yazılan Sevgililer Çağı adlı kitaba atıfta bulunuyor. Albümde sanatçıya Nikos Papageorgiou (lavta), Erhan Bayram (İstanbul kemençesi), Asineth Fotini Kokkala (kanun) ve Muaz Ceyhan (yaylı tanbur) eşlik ediyor.
